Anthony Joshua calls black race superior, raising the racism question

Former World heavyweight challenger, Eddie Chambers has accused heavyweight champion, Anthony Joshua of sending him racist messages, calling the American a ‘disgrace to the superior black race’.

Fast Eddie, as Chambers is called, posted screenshots of abusive messages apparently sent from Joshua’s verified Instagram account attacking champers apparently without provocation.

“Now this is the comment that Really Exposes who Anthony Joshua Really is. He said I’m a disgrace to the superior Black Race how so????,” wrote Chambers.

“I grew up very poor and had it very hard and still made something of myself. I always show respect and carry myself with class by treating people how I want to be treated and in return I have my “Fellow” Black brother, who I said nothing disrespectful too calling me a disgrace to my Race????

“You’re a little bitch, remember that,” to which Chambers responds, “Oh now you grew enough balls to talk all these years later, I remember when you was quiet as kept.”

Chambers goes on to accuse Joshua of being “tough” only now that he is champion, which is met with a response, “Bitches talk. Real ones move in silence. U are bum. Disgrace to the superior black race! F*ck u.”

Chambers, who lost in his contention for the heavyweight title by KO, to Wladimir Klitschko in 2010, criticized Joshua for the attack, insisting that the IBF, WBA and IBO heavyweight champion should be “ashamed.”

“I am a very proud African American male and proud to be a positive on in a society that tries to make us seem negative because of a few bad apples Anthony Joshua you should be ashamed of yourself and if you don’t fight me you[‘re] the dis[g]race [shaking my head] and how would your white fans feel about your racist comment saying the black race is superior or even better.”

However, Joshua’s promoter, Eddie Hearn, claims the messages were from a fake profile insisting that the account was hacked.

Meanwhile, Joshua, who has remained unbeaten in his 20 professional matches, is yet to comment on the incident.

How strange is it for a black man to be accused of racism?

According to a poll conducted by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, 55% of white Americans are of the opinion that whites suffer from racial discrimination in America.

In 2014, a white police officer in New York, who was denied promotion in favour of a non-white, won a reverse-discrimination case in court winning the suit of 1.35 million.

Former President Barrack Obama was accused of using economic programs to enrich the black population at the expense of the whites, amid accusations of hates for whites.

However, as more whites raise the question of reverse racism from blacks, many blacks opine that statements ‘seemingly’ racial from blacks are actually not racial.

While it is believed that blacks can be racist, many blacks still believe that blacks cannot practice racism as they are usually in minority and do not have the power to do so. Racial slur, like those about how black men are superior, is usually dismissed as just an attempt to restore the lost pride of the blackmail or a move to counter racism itself.
