The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, posted on its social media account (twitter) that the next Nigeria Presidential and National Assembly Elections will hold February 16, 2019.
The Presidential and National Assembly elections have been fixed for Saturday 16th February 2019.

President Muhammadu Buhari who took over Government from former President Goodluck Jonathan was sworn in May 29, 2015 and his first term ends May 28, 2019.
In 2015, elections were fixed for February 14th only to hold in March 11 due to what the Government then described as a need to fight and weak Boko Haram for a smooth poll.
President Muhammadu Buhari has not indicated interest in running for a second term.
