During the recent Eid celebration holiday, Musician Korede Bello paid his friend Adam Ashraf, the son of the Emir of Kano HRH Lamido Sanusi, a visit.
They both had great fun as they went horse riding on their ‘Babban Riga’ – a colourful traditional attire of the ancient city of Kano – to celebrate the multiple day festivals, which ended up with the grand finale known as Hawan Fanisau.
The Mavin Record act completely had a great time, visiting and becoming a guest at the Royal Palace of the Emir of Kano.
Some have questioned the relationship between the Emirate and musical artistes being that the Emirate is an Islamic structure and Islam prohibits songs with wind and string instruments just as it prohibits songs with either lewd or vain lyrics.
