Kachikwu and Baru set to reconcile and work together

Indications that Dr. Ibe Kachikwu, Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, and Dr. Maikanti Baru, would bury hatchets soon and work together towards the development of the nation’s oil and gas industry has emerge.

This is following a meeting of the duo with President Muhammadu Buhari and Vice President Yemi Osinbanjo last weekend. Investigations show that Kachikwu and Baru have concluded plans to review the issues and move on in the best interest of the oil and gas industry and the nation.

Sources who spoke to newsmen on basis of anonymity because they were not authorized to speak, in both the NNPC and the Ministry said that they looked forward to a total reconciliatory action and synergy between the two in the next few days.

This is following the murmurings of antagonism between both men after Kachikwu’s letter to President Buhari was leaked.

In what will serve as a great lesson for commentators who form the habit of instigating tribal and regional interpretations to every misunderstanding, both Maikanti and Kachikwu were spotted Tuesday at the 23rd Nigerian Economic Summit Group (NESG) in Abuja, taking photos in very friendly smiles.
