Femi Fani-Kayode was the Aviation Minister during former President Olusegun Obasanjo administration. He is infamous for his criticisms agains President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration.
Africa Slaves Trade in Libya
Following the maltreatment of Nigerians in Libya and the distress call made by those who are stranded in the North Africa country, the Federal Government ordered the evacuation of her citizens from Libya.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs had said that plans are underway to repatriate Nigerians stranded in Libya.
“It is apt to add that our mission in Tripoli has been addressing the problems associated with Nigerian migrants in Libya.
“There were instances when the mission received appeals for intervention from some Nigerian families, whose children and relations were victims of inhumane acts in that country.
“The government is also exploring the feasibility of sending aircraft to evacuate Nigerians who are stranded in Libya.”
On Tuesday night, 242 returnees arrived at the Murtala Muhammad International Airport, Lagos, on Libyan Aircraft.
Officials of the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), International Organization of Migration (IOM) and National Commission for Refugees, Migrants and Internally Displaced Persons, were profiling and attending to the returnees.
Mr Kayode decided to play the tribalism card rather than seek the truth.
“75% of those sold into slavery in Libya who have their organs harvested, bodies mutilated and who are roasted like suya are from southern Nigeria. They are mostly Igbo, Edo and Yoruba. U see why Buhari’s evil regime don’t care? They are not Fulani herdsmen”- Paul Achalla. pic.twitter.com/JvEFSPgKJ5

In another tweet, he also sees the President as a Calamity to African Continent.
The greatest calamity that befell Africa in the last 20 years was the murder of Muammar Ghadaffi in Libya.
The second was the coming to power of Muhammadu Buhari in Nigeria.
The full implications of these 2 tragic, monumental and cataclysmic events are yet to be seen.

Magu’s Appointment
Mr. Kayode has also accused the President of being insensitive to the Southerners for appointing Ibrahim Magu, the acting Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC).
“Yet another northerner has been appointed to head the EFCC. Is it that Southerners are incapable? Buhari is so insensitive to the South,” he said.
He also said the President is an evil-minded person and has been rejected by God.
In a Facebook post, he wrote “President Muhammadu Buhari is venal and malevolent. He has been rejected by the Living God.
“His is a government of psychopaths, ethnic supremacists, radical Islamists, skull and bone diviners and voodoo merchants.
Mr. Kayode, however, did not take into account Mr. Magu’s reputation and rank, he thus created the impression that Mr. Magu was brought from nowhere to be Chairman of EFCC whereas Magu was a top ranking officer of Economic Governance Unit (EGU) of the EFCC, one of the first recruit of Nuhu Ribadu, the poineer Chairman, was head of the EGU and led the investigation of Governor Ibori, Saraki, among others. Senate President Bukola Saraki, who Magu investigated, once prised Magu for standing up for what is right, even before he became the EFCC Chairman.
Chibok “scam”
When Minister of Women Affairs, Aisha Alhassan, declared her support and loyalty to former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar, if he contests for Presidency in 2019, FFK in series of tweet described her as a woman of courage, and relaying on a fake news piece where the Minister was reported to have accused El-Rufai of Masterminding the Chibok girls abduction story, urged her to tell the truth about Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai.
”I said it BEFORE, DURING and AFTER the 2015 presidential campaign that the truth about the Chibok girls and those behind BH was yet to be heard. Now it is all coming out. Nothing is hidden under the sun.
“Mama Taraba is a courageous woman who has spoken the truth. Vice President Abubakar Atiku is a blessing to this nation whilst President Muhammadu Buhari is a curse. The APC sun is about to set.
”Mama Taraba has a duty to tell us all she knows about Governor Nasir El Rufai’s alleged role in the Chibok girls scam and Boko Haram. I urge her to do so.
His tweets did not go unanswered, as the Minister responded, calling him a liar.
As a formr minister of the federal republic, it is demeaning on ur persn to deliberately engage in peddling false. I never said such. Delete https://t.co/Onwv9LfPOL

You peddled falsehood. And that’s exactly what it is. Lies and propaganda. Thank God APC is cleaning up your mess. https://t.co/MlSnwMAk7S
— Sen. Jummai Alhassan (@SenAishaAlhassn) September 10, 2017
Instead of owning up to his mistake, Mr. Kayode changed the goal post and started quoting those he earlier said wanted to blackmail the Minister for saying the truth about where her allegiance lies. He also left the tweets as misleading as they are, without deleting them.
Islamization Agenda
After Nigeria subscribed to Sukuk bond, there were concerns from some that the Country would soon be an Islamic State.
Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo debunked the assertion claiming that the country can never be Islamised by anyone.
“Part of the problem is the failure of Christian leadership to take its rightful place. We focus our minds on something we call the Islamic agenda. We look for it everywhere as if we are looking for demons.
“But where is the Christian agenda. Are we not entitled to one? We are too divided as Christians to have an agenda. The key to the unity and progress of Nigeria is in the church.”
Again, FFK chose to be a conspiracy theorist, reminding Osinbajo that Nigeria is a member of the D-8 Countries which all have Islam in common.
As Mr. Kayode fights his corruption case in court, many wonder if purposely looking like a stuanch opposition is not a way out of trouble for the former Minister who use to praise everyone he now criticizes.
