NFF Annual General Assembly, what’s on the menu

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has announced that its annual general assembly will hold at the Crest Hotel, Jos, Plateau State on Thursday 19, 2017.

According to the NFF, all has been put in place to ensure a hitch free meeting and also a memorable outing for all invited members and stakeholders. It added that Sports Minister, Solomon Dalung, World Football governing body (FIFA), and the Confederation of African Football, CAF has also been informed of the development.

NFF’s 44 members are all expected to be present at the meeting. They include the Chairmen and secretaries of the Football Associations of the 36 States as well as the FCT, Chairmen and Secretaries of leagues across the nation, Referees and Coaches Association, as well as Players Union.

Also invited for the AGA, are the Members of the NFF committee and Management, NFF Partners and Sponsors representatives, former NFF Presidents and General Secretaries and other invited dignitaries.

“It brings together the major stakeholders of the game in Nigeria, with opportunity for robust engagement on all issues related to the game and is usually an event of huge interest to local and international media,’’ the NFF said.

The meeting which will be declared opened by the Plateau State governor, Barrister Simon Bako Lalong, will have major issues brainstormed upon in the meeting.

NFF President, Amaju Pinnick, will present his address; bring to light enfolded activities within the football realm since the last assembly. Plans for the year 2018 will also be presented, while the activity report will be presented by the Federation’s General Secretary, Mohammed Sanusi.

There will also be presentation of the Consolidated and Revised Balance Sheet and Profit-and-Loss Statement, presentation of the Financial Statement for approval, presentation of the 2018 Budget for approval, votes on proposals for amendments to the Current Statutes, the regulations governing the application of the Statutes and the standing orders of the General Assembly.

Other items proposed by the Members or by the Executive Committee will also be addressed.
