Broken Metatarsal could keep out Neuer for up to six months

Bayern Munich number one has said that he could be out for up to six months owing to broken metatarsal in September.

The German has seen less play time since their defeat to Real Madrid in the quarter finals of the UEFA Champions League.

Neuer experienced a repeat of the injury after he almost came out of it in a training session with the club issuing a statement that his comeback might be up till January.

He has been on top form with the club winning several titles with them during his reign as number one.

“The wound has to stay clean and heal by itself, then, the healing within the foot takes place. That can even take half a year,” he said in an interview with FCBaryern TV.

Neuer also number one for Germany is expected to heal and be in good form before the World Cup in Russia, although he is expected to miss most of Bayern’s matches this season.

The 31 year old put up an impressive performance in the last World Cup which saw Germany emerge winners after a close win over Lionel Messi’s led Argentina.
