Niger State Government has started the construction of two blocks of hostels at the Zungeru Polytechnic, in order to solve the accommodation problem of the students.


The two blocks of hostel with 400 bedrooms is expected to cost N200m, with each accommodating 200 males and females respectively when completed.


Rector of the Polytechnic, Dr Umar Ahmed, stated that the contractors handling the project would be mobilized to start working in order to fast track completion of the project.


“We will carefully monitor the contractors to ensure due compliance with contract specifications”.


Dr Ahmed applauded the State Government for building more hostels for the institution.
