It was inhumane in Bolivia – Neymar

World most expensive player and Brazil captain, Neymar, has described the playing condition in their World Cup qualifier match against Bolivia as “inhumane” following bad weather and high altitude.

Brazil played out a goalless draw with Bolivia in the capital city of La Paz with a high altitude 3,640m above sea level and shortage of oxygen.

Brazil has however booked a place in the Russia 2018 World Cup despite the goalless draw at the Estadio Hernando Siles in La Paz. Neymar claimed that the “field, altitude and ball… everything bad. But we were happy for the performance of the team even with these conditions.”

Lionel Messi earlier complained of similar conditions and the Brazilian Coach, Tite also commented on the bad conditions.

The Brazilian team had to put on oxygen masks after the match to aid fast recovery. The Bolivian team however did not have much to worry about as they were accustomed to the weather.

“Playing here is very difficult. Stragetically, I was very happy. We were upright, offensive. I want to emphasize this great performance. Happy for performance, upset about result.

“I have to praise our professionals for all logistics of the medical department that gave all the support to make people feel the effect less,”

Tite concluded.
