Iyanya’s ‘Not Forgotten’ digs up raw emotions

Nigerian Music prodigy, Iyanya released the visual for his song “Not  Forgotten” on the 30th of September, ahead of Independence day celebrations, as a commemoration of the heroes of the Nigerian entertainment industry who are no more alive and Nigerians who have generally done one or two things to advance the course of the nation.

“To all our fallen soldiers that have fought and died to defend our country and our lives, we appreciate you… #NotForgotten”

The video which was produced by foremost talent agency Temple Management Company and directed by AMVCA award-winning cinematographer, Ogo Okpue, was shot in London and features the singer’s label mate and gifted rapper, Poe.

Iyanya paid an emotionally compelling tribute on the song to his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Onoyom Obong Mbuk whom he had lost years apart. The singer also paid tribute to celebrated Nigerian entertainment icons such as Dagrin, Eric Arubayi, OJB Jezreel, CD John, Fatai Rolling Dollar, Nomoreloss, Justice Esiri, Enebeli Elebuwa and Sam Loco Efe amongst others.

“Not Forgotten is the most personal music I’ve ever made. The song is dedicated to all those we’ve lost including loved ones we’ve lost. It is for anyone who is missing someone”

The song ‘Not Forgotten’ is a track off Iyanya’s Signature EP which was released earlier this by Don Jazzy’s Mavin Records and has been described as fans and critics as an emotionally compelling song.
