WAFU Cup: final match duel spiced with revenge and ego

The Super Eagles team B and the Black Stars B of Ghana is battle ready for the final match of the on-going WAFU cup on Sunday.

The match which will see two strong rivals battle it out is said to be the game the continent looks up to see as it is spiced with revenge and ego.

Nigeria left a 2-0 wound in the Ghana side in group stage after drawing the first two matches which saw them advance to the next round.

However, with the $100,000 prize for the winner, much more would be played for as both teams would play to reiterate dominance in African Football.

The Ghanaian team will be up against the toughest defence as the Nigeria team is yet to concede any goal in the competition.

The Super Eagles, who have shown discipline at defence, have however lacked finishing tactics as they have had tough time scoring goals.

The Ghanaian coach, Maxwell Konadu has however said that revenge will not be their motivating factor when they face Nigeria at the Cape Coast Stadium on Sunday.

Nigeria beat Benin Republic one nil in the semi-final match, while the defending champion, Ghana beat Niger 2-0 to qualify for the final match against rival, Nigeria.

The President of the Confederation of African Football (CAF), Ahmad Ahmad, will watch the match between both Nations at the stadium. This was confirmed by CAF on their official website.

Ahmad arrive Accra on Thursday to preside over a CAF meeting and is expected to view the final match in Cape Coast Stadium.
