President of the Football Association of Zambia, Andrew Kamanga has tagged Zambia’s FIFA World Cup qualifier match with the Super Eagles of Nigeria a ‘do or die affair’.
Fazfootball.com, reported that the FAZ Boss has cautioned the players not to drop any point in their encounter against the Super Eagles in Uyo. Zambia are currently on seven points, three behind Nigeria currently on ten points after defeating Algeria home and away.
The FAZ Boss restated that the winner in the match between the Super Eagles and the Chipolopolo would be assured of going to Russia 2018 World Cup. The Zambian team are currently camping in Spain as this will make it easier since most of its players are based in Europe,the Zambian FA Boss said.
Zambia won the African Cup of Nations in 2012 and remains the only team in Group B that has not featured in any FIFA World Cup competition. Thus, would be looking to secure a chance at qualifying when they play the Super Eagles of Nigeria.
The team has quite a number of young and talented players with Captain Kennedy Mweene, Chisamba Lungu, Stoppilla Sunzu along with players selected from the U20 team that reached the quarter final of the U20 FIFA World Cup in South Korea.
