Nasarawa State Government is set to partner Turkish International College in improving quality education in the state.
Governor Umaru Al-makura disclosed the development during a courtesy visit by members of the Turkish community in Nigeria led by the Deputy Managing Director, First Surat Limited, Feyzullah Bilgin, at the Government House, Lafia.
The Governor said he is willing to support them in all that they would do in the field that would add value to the state. He also noted that his Government would provide land for immediate development of the project.
”I request you to look at the potential and possibility of extending more of your services to Nasarawa state, we are willing to collaborate and support you by providing land to you for immediate development “
The leader of the delegation had earlier said the visit was to inform the Governor of the need to collaborate with the Government of the state in providing qualitative education to its citizens.
He noted that poverty among other factors is the main cause of poor performance of students in Nigeria adding that it reduces the students and teachers’ aim to excel.
The school is also located in Abuja, Ogun, Kano, Kaduna and Yobe States.
