Top Boko Haram commanders killed, says Nigerian Army

The Nigerian Army has said on Thursday that it had neutralised several Boko Haram Commanders and many of the group’s foot soldiers in the the ongoing operations against insurgents in the North East.

Spokesman for the Army, Brigadier General Sani Usman, said the operation was undertaken following credible intelligence gathering on Boko Haram hideouts.

The operations were carried out in collaboration with the Nigerian Air force.

Brig. Gen. Sani Usman also named five Boko Haram Commanders neutralised in the operation to include Abu Dujana, Man Tahiru, a Deputy to Boko Haram group’s Hisba leader, Man Chari, Abdullahi Abu Sa’ad, and Goni Bamanga.

Umar added that the Military would continue with the onslaught on the reported Boko Haram locations till they have been eliminated.

The military had earlier cleared several hideouts including Izza and Njima areas, camps at Bula Buba and its environs among others.
